Net direct tax collection up 13%; corporate tax by 10%: CBDT

Mumbai, Dec 21 (KNN) The net direct tax collections for the current fiscal upto December-20 is up by 13.7 per cent to Rs 4,12,918 crore from a year ago according to a press release of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

“Gross direct tax collection during April-November of the Financial Year 2013-14 is up by 13.18 per cent at Rs 3,68,655 crore as against Rs.3,25,736 crore in the same period last year,” the release said.

However, the corporate tax collections are at Rs 2,60,752 crore as against Rs 2,36,580 crore a year ago up 10.2 per cent.

According to the release, the total advance tax collected by the revenue for the first three quarters of the current fiscal is Rs2,02,626 crore up 8.8 per cent from a year ago.

“The advance tax collections from corporates has been Rs 1,76,935 crore which is a growth of 8.4 per cent as against previous year’s collection,” said the CBDT press release. (KNN/SD)
