Rajya Sabha sitting extended till Aug 7
New Delhi, July 26 (KNN) Budget session of Parliament, which was to end on Friday, has been extended till August 7 to help transact essential government business, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu informed the House.
The first session of the new Lok Sabha began on June 17 and it was set to end on July 26. However, a large number of bills are pending in Parliament.
The government’s move is linked to ensure the passage of crucial pending Bills like the Triple Talaq and the Motor Amendment Act in the Rajya Sabha next week.
