Kolkata, Nov 4 (KNN)  Ratnakar Bank Limited which has a number of specialised products exclusively for the micro and small enterprise sector would be making a presentation of their schemes for financing and others services to the members of FOSMI.

The presentation followed by an interactive session with the bank officials will take place on November-7, according to Secretary, FOSMI, H Ganguly.

On the need for the programme, “As we have not so far had any interaction with the Bank we are very interested in learning what they have to offer to the MSMEs in general and manufacturers and units engaged in exports and imports in particular,” Ganguly said.

The Bank was primarily Bank of America 20 years ago. Subsequently it was taken over by the biggest Bank of Netherlands namely, ABN AMRO Bank.

Considering its illustrious background we expect and hope that members would benefit from the event, he added.

According to official data, the Bank has created different products exclusively for the MSE sector. These are template products, which follow a simple scorecard model for rating, simple appraisal process, decentralized sanctioning powers, quick Turnaround Time (TAT) and offers wide range of facilities that include working capital, term loans and non fund based facilities.

The Bank also provides traditional credit facilities like Cash credit/overdraft, Loan against Deposits/property, Bill discounting, Non fund based credit facilities, Export credit etc. to MSE borrowers through a few other templated products, as well as non-templated products.

The Bank provides finance to the MSE sector in India through specific and dedicated branches / clusters as well as from all the branches across the country.  (KNN/ES)
