New Delhi, Sept 8 (KNN) RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan today held a meeting with Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das to discuss various macroeconomic issues.

"Had a good meeting with RBI Governor. Discussed macroeconomic issues," Das tweeted.

This was the first meeting of Das after he took charge as a DEA Secretary with the RBI governor.

Das, who was earlier Revenue Secretary, had assumed charge of the Economic Affairs Department on August 31.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high level consultative meeting on 'Recent Global Events: Opportunities for India,' here today. 

The meeting was attended by over 40 delegates, including Cabinet Ministers, top officials of the Government and RBI, industry representatives, top bankers and leading economists and sectoral experts. (KNN Bureau)
