RBI holds financial literacy week themed "Go Digital Go Secure" to promote digital transactions

New Delhi, Feb 16 (KNN) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced “Go Digital Go Secure" as its theme for this year’s financial literacy week which started on 14th of February and will continue till 18th February, 2022.

It aims to promote financial literacy at a national level on digital banking in a secure manner. 

The theme is also one of the strategic objectives of the National Strategy for Financial Education 2020-2025.

Union budget 2022-23 vastly focused on digitisation which makes this campaign imperative as it intends to create awareness about the convenience of digital transactions; security of digital transactions; and protection of customers.

RBI Regional Director Vivek Aggarwal presided the announcement programme held in Delhi.

The event was also attended by Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Atul Kumar Goel, MD, Punjab National Bank and several other senior banking officials. (KNN Bureau)
