Sharma in US to discuss issues related to FDI

New Delhi, Jul 10 (KNN) The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Anand Sharma is likely to discuss issues related to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail and e-commerce by US companies in India during his four day visit to the United States of America.

“During his stay in the US, Sharma is also expected to meet business leaders like President and CEO of Walmart Asia, Scott Price; Head for Global Public Policy and E-bay, Ted Cohen, among others.  He is likely to discuss the issues related to FDI in retail and e-commerce by US companies in India,” said an official statement released today.

The minister will deliver the opening address at the US-India Business Council’s 38th Leadership Summit tomorrow.  He will also give the opening remarks at the round table with National Association of Manufacturers the same day.

On July 12, he will address the US-India CEO’s forum meeting in Washington.

Sharma is also expected to meet US Secretary of State John Kerry, US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, US Trade Representative Michael Froman among others. (GUNJ/KNN)
