SIDBI associate firm to help MSMEs save energy

New Delhi, Aug 11 (KNN) India SME Technology Services Ltd (ISTSL), an associate firm of SIDBI, implementing a solution to improve energy efficiency in the MSME sector. The move is expected to benefit about 3,000 MSMEs in the next three years.
 
“SIDBI has initiated a 4E Solutions Product aimed at improving energy efficiency in MSMEs,” the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) said in a press note today.
 
4E intervention aims at helping MSMEs to adopt energy efficiency measures by making available to them the services of reputed/ experienced technical consultants at reasonable costs and ensuring that the services are delivered with quality and in a time bound manner.
 
4E intervention offers End to End Solutions for energy efficiency improvements in MSME units through the steps such as - carrying out detailed energy audit and suggesting suitable energy savings measures; providing support for implementation of suggested energy savings measures; and carrying out measurement and verification audit for quantifying the actual energy savings.
 
ISTSL has sought for the empanelment of consultants or Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) under the 4E programme for promoting and implementing energy efficiency measures in MSME units.
 
SIDBI is celebrating its 25th year of dedicated services to the MSME sector in India. SIDBI had launched the unique EE intervention on the occasion of the “World Environment Day” on June 5, 2014. This intervention was named as “End-to-End Energy Efficiency (4E) Solutions”. (KNN/SD)
