SIDBI seeks new MD, to focus on SMEs

Lucknow, Dec 6 (KNN)  The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) which has concentrated its financing on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will soon be appointing a new chairman and managing director to fulfil such requirement.

The bank is looking for a consultant who will help find a new CMD with expertise in management, leadership and innovation skills.

The consultant should have adequate knowledge and experience in SMEs lending, re-financing, corporate finance, treasury operations, resource mobilisation, risk management and information technology.

In addition, he/she should have exposure to micro credit and promotional and development services for small scale industries (SSIs).

The bank will be replacing Sushil Munot with the new CMD.

SIDBI is conceived to be the principal financial institution for the promotion, financing and development of industry in the small scale sector and to co-ordinate the functions of the institutions engaged in the promotion and financing or developing industry in the small scale sector and for matters connected. It is one of the top development banks in the world ranking. (KNN/ST)
