Skill gap analysis of 600 districts to be put on MSME website

New Delhi, Apr 22 (KNN) NITI Aayog has recommended that for enhancement of skill framework skill gap analysis of 600 districts would take place on official website of MSME by April 2016.

On Thursday, Niti Aayogg has finalized action plan based on 8 themes proposed by group of secretaries to see that India’s GDP grows at 10 percent year after year.

The eight themes finalized by group of secretaries are: Accelerated growth with inclusion and equity; employment generation strategies; health and education; good governance; farmer centric issues in agriculture & allied sectors; swachh bharat and ganga rejuvenation; energy conservation & efficiency and innovative budgeting and effective implementation.

Under the theme - Accelerated growth with inclusion and equity – it suggested linking all employment exchanges with e-platform (National Career Service) by March, 2017.

It also called for alignment of National Occupational Standards (NOSs) with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) by Dec ember, 2016.

Under the theme Good Governance: Challenge, Opportunities and sub-theme Ease of Doing Business, the action point includes introducing bill to amend the Companies act, 2013 (FY17); Setup online procurement platform via FCI (FY17); ▪ 3rd party scrutiny of road project execution agencies (Dec – 2016); Develop incentive mechanism for contractors for early completion of road projects (Dec – 2016); Setting up of dispute resolution board for PPP road projects (Sep – 2016); and Single Window Single Form – for 7 additional services (Oct – 2016).

The action plan also called for use of technology and have broadband connectivity through Optical fibre for all gram panchayats (Dec – 2018).

Under the theme Swachh Bharat and Ganga Rejuvenation, the secretaries recommended reconsideration of effluent norms for Zero Liquid Discharge; Improve fuel efficiency norms for vehicles (FY17); Set up 15 new coal washeries to reduce ash content, improve quality & reduce transport cost (Oct – 2017); Additional waste mgmnt. facilities in 50,000 villages and more.

Suggesting the way forward NITI Aayog said there should be Workshops with stakeholders to synergize actions Alignment of quality with international standards; Regional meetings and periodic video conferencing; Ministries to implement action points in timely manner; and Facilitate states/UTs through creation of panel of professional institutions/experts.
