Kolkata 12 Dec (KNN) The Apex Bank in the Country asked states to borrow loan with in a limit. Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) H R Khan told that we are trying to ensure that states keep their borrowing at reasonable limits.

He was holding the board meeting of Apex Bank in Kolkata.

The West Bengal Government has failed to generate the revenue and no sign of improvement has seen.

However, Deputy Governor has clarified that RBI has no role in keeping a tab on state borrowings as the borrowing ceiling is determined by the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act.
