Swadeshi Jagran Manch to rally against Chinese imports demanding boycott-safeguarding industry at home

New Delhi, Oct 14 (KNN) To counter the economic ramifications of Chinese imports, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) affiliated Swadeshi Jagran Manch is organizing a mass rally on October 29 at Ram Lila Ground in the national capital voicing their concerns.

The primary objective of the rally is to generate awareness about negative impact of Chinese goods and demand the boycott of Chinese imports in the country, that in the recent times have registered positive trends.

Talking to KNN, Anil Sharma, Coordinator of the event said that the Chinese products are killing the manufacturing industry in the country, especially the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and their motive is to dominate Indian market.

Lamenting further Sharma said that China has already destroyed India’s Active Pharmaceutical Industry (API industry) situated in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.

Giving insights into the process, Sharma said that China was able to takeover as they followed a systematic strategy. Initially in a very planned manner they decreased the price of the APIs  to one –fourth for setting their feet. Following which they have now increased the price almost 10 times, hurting the manufacturing then and now the consumer and the market.

He said that the import from China is ruining the MSME sector, which is the backbone of manufacturing in India and has led to the loss of employment among youth in India.

The rally is expecting a footfall of activists, students, industrialists, traders, service class, schools, NGOs, Sharma added.

He suggested that Government should impose import restrictions and anti-dumping duties on most of the Chinese imports in order to safeguard industry at home. (KNN/AG)
