Technological advancement to pave way for country's economy in near future: Ram Nath Kovind

New Delhi, Oct 28 (KNN) Batting for an I.T based economy, President Ram Nath Kovind recently said that the future of the country’s economy and employment creation will highly depend on the advancement with Digital India.

The President said that technology would act as a force multiplier and thus add to the economic growth of the country.

President Kovind said it technology is already proving to be a game changer in different sectors including health-care, education, tourism and many other industries.

President Kovind made these remarks during the launch event of Kerala government’s  Technocity project.

The President further said that the jobs of tomorrow would come more and more from digital services and other opportunities that are derived from the Internet.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Governor P Sathasivam, state Minister Kadakampally Surendran and other other top state government officials were present during the inaugural ceremony.

Technocity, spreads over 400 acre near Pallippuram being constructed with an aim of fostering emerging and high-end technologies and research and development.

The IT park is expected to generate over 1,00,000 employment opportunities from leading and upcoming IT companies. (With PIB inputs) (KNN/DA)
