Telangana to have 100 Canara Bank branches soon

New Delhi, Sept 23 (KNN) Canara Bank which has 5,330 branches across the country is planning to increase the number of branches in Telangana from the current 67 to 100 by the first quarter of 2015.

This was stated by Chairman and Managing Director RK Dubey who inaugurated the 45th Circle Office at Warangal on Monday, according to a media report.

On the occasion, Dubey emphasized Canara Bank’s commitment to provide finance to the priority sector with special focus on agriculture, MSME, housing and education.

At present, the bank has 67 branches covering eight districts in Telangana and transacts a total business of Rs 2,500 crore.

It is now planning to increase the network of branches in Telangana to 100 by March 2015, covering important urban, semi-urban and rural centres coming under the circle, the report said.

Executive Director VS Krishna Kumar said the bank has introduced new technology products which are customer friendly. It wants the customer to utilize these products.  (KNN Bureau)
