Vishal Fabrics Limited is 66th firm to be listed on BSE SME

Mumbai, Aug 20 (KNN)  Ahmedabad based Vishal Fabrics Limited today was listed on the BSE SME platform, taking the total number of firms listed on the bourse to 66.

Engaged in the business of dyeing, printing and processing of fabrics of its own and also on job work basis, the company procures mainly grey fabric and dyes, prints and finishes the same as per the client’s requirements.

The processing unit of Vishal Fabrics is located in Narol, Ahmedabad in Gujarat.  The plant has the capacity to print, dye and process a wide range of fabrics such as cotton, polyester, viscose and man-made as well as blended fabrics suitable for apparel, home furnishing, etc.

The issue price of the shares was Rs 45 per share with a face value of Rs 10 and premium of Rs 35.

Chennai based Carewell Industries Limited too joined the band wagon last week. Other firms waiting to be listed are – Aryaman Capital Markets Limited, Amsons Apparels Limited, JLA Infraville Shoppers Limited and Naysaa Securities Limited, among others.

The BSE SME Exchange, Bombay Stock Exchange's platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), is witnessing a lot more SMEs listing on the platform these days. However, active trading takes place in less than half of the companies listed.

Market capitalisation in trading today was in the range of Rs 7,870 crore with more losers than gainers.

BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.  Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue. 

BSE SME Platform offers entrepreneurs an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
