42 food parks to be operational in next 30 months: Harsimrat Kaur Badal

New Delhi, Mar 15 (KNN) Union Food processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said that 42 mega food parks will be fully operational in coming 30 months. Out of this, she pointed, that two parks are already operational now and five or more will be operational in one and half years.

She said this on side-lines of the inauguration of 31st five-day annual AAHAAR – International Food and Hospitality Fair.

Talking to the reporters, Badal said that the 42 parks which were sanctioned during UPA Government’s regime. She further said that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) food processing is a big step for the farmers and agro-industries as FDI will create infrastructure and generate employment.
