EKKI & KPR Institutions to install International Water Technology Centre in Coimbatore

New Delhi, 16 Nov (KNN) EKKI, pumps and technology company in collaboration with KPR Institutions has launched “The EKKI-KPR International Water Technology Centre (EIWTC) on Friday in Coimbatore.

It will be inaugurated by German Consul General Karin Stoll in the presence of senior officials from both the companies.

The main aim of the centre is to infuse and create a space for research, training and entrepreneurial mind-set.

The new Centre will be guided by the combined expertise of over 45 researchers and academicians from KPR and about 40 engineers from EKKI. The new centre will initially work on skill training, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship in the water industry.

German Consul General Stoll said that such initiatives will strengthened links between business and academia, improving the training aspects of engineering. He opined that this will contribute not only to better employability but also to higher quality.

“The Centre will provide opportunities for students and academicians at KPR Institutions. Collaboration with academia is a crucial component for growth of industries,” said K. P. Ramaswamy, Chairman of KPR Group.

The Co-CEO of Ekki, Kanishka Arumugam, stated that through the centre initiative the company is investing in its future by employing and developing skilled people.

She said, Ekki’s water technology centres will work with academic institutions and global water technology companies to build a new generation of water industry leaders.
