New Delhi, Dec 11 (KNN) The fate of some of the important Bills is hanging in the Parliament as the Winter Session is witnessing frequent disruptions by the political parties.

PM Modi had on Thursday had said that repeated disruption of both houses of Parliament by Opposition was a “matter of sorrow” and that besides the GST Bill, many “pro-poor steps are stuck in Parliament”.

Meanwhile, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2015 is one of the 10 most important Bills pending in the Parliament.

Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha’s Winter Session would end on December 23rd, 2015.

The legislative agenda includes 19 Bills currently pending in Parliament for consideration and passage. 14 new Bills are proposed to be introduced. Out of these one will also be taken up for consideration and passing. Two Bills will be withdrawn.

The top 10 Bills pending in the Parliament are:
  • The Constitution (122nd Amendment) (GST) Bill, 2014
  • The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2015
  • The Consumer Protection Bill, 2015
  • The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015
  • The Mines (Amendment) Bill, 2011
  • The Bureau of Indian Standards Bill, 2015
  • The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill, 2013
  • The Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2013
  • The Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2014
  • The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Amendment) Bill, 2008
But with such disruptions by the Oppositions and political parties taking on each other, it is for us to wait and watch whether the Bills, important for the economic growth of the country, get passed in the Parliament. (KNN Bureau)
