Bhubaneswar, Dec 27 (KNN)  With an objective to facilitate, promote and enhance competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state, the Odisha government is organising second MSME International Trade Fair here.

The event which is scheduled from January 1 to 7, 2014 is an initiative taken by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and the state Department of MSME to provide a market tool to MSMEs for exploring new markets and expose them to technological development around them.

Attraction of the global event would be a special enclosure displaying the “Low cost technologies suitable for employment generation”.

It would display a wide range of engineering, manufacturing and allied industries and products like electrical, information technology, agro based industries, packaging, tourism, leather, textiles, chemicals and many more.

The exhibition will be a perfect platform for those entrepreneurs who are interested in keeping abreast with the latest technological developments in the MSME sector. They will also get an opportunity for showcasing the technologies for MSEs and exposing them to the domestic and international market.

NSIC has been stimulating and sensitizing the MSEs to provide goods and services of high quality in order to enable this sector to market their products globally. It has been exposing the sector to global markets through participation in foreign and international level domestic exhibitions to showcase their competencies and to capture market opportunities.  (KNN/ST)
