New Delhi, Sept 11 (KNN) ZipZap Deal, is a Delhi based start-up, for students which gives deal offered by various stores through a mobile-app.
It gives coupons and deals of more than 50 online stores. They have exclusive deals for Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Jabong, Expedia, PayTM, Food Panda and more. Siddharth Sharma CEO & Founder of ZipZap Deals spoke to KNN about his journey so far and way forward.
Q. What is the ZipZap Deals all about?
ZipZap deals is basically about an students’ platform to get discounts and offers with in there University. If you have ZipZap deals app on your phone, you get discount and offers inside your university. For example - if you are student at Amity University Noida and you want to go a Salon or Gym or a Restaurant. The ZipZap deals mobile app helps you avail discounts by just showing them where you go. We are looking forward to become the biggest app for students in Delhi NCR. Our simple concept is your college your deals!
Q. Where did the idea to start ZipZap Deals click you?
We wanted to launch a coupon company just like Coupons websites for e-commerce platform where you could compare prices on that site or get discounts for online shopping. Students mostly want discounts inside their colleges so that they could enjoy the maximum services at best process. This is how the idea of starting ZipZap deals clicked us.
Q. What were the challenges that you faced while starting ZipZap?
There were many challenges that we faced while we started this service. Technology was our biggest challenge initially because we only had mobile app service. How could we place a dabba wala’s deal with the deal of a big brand like Café Coffee Day? In terms of financial cost we did face a crunch initially. Also, we didn’t know that how could we execute our idea but we are in a very good position now. Amity Innovation Incubator Centre really helped us a lot during our incubation period and also gave us helping hands in overall strategies etc.
Q. How has your journey been so far in terms of growth?
As soon as we launched our beta version, we got a very good response. We had the first launch in Amity University Noida and the response has been great.
Q. What are your future plans?
ZipZap deals aims at becoming one of the biggest platforms for students where they can get good deals across the Delhi NCR.
Q. How do you plan to achieve your goal?
