New Delhi, Dec 23 (KNN) The Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu unveiled the plaques to mark the laying of the foundation stones of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) & Integrated Transit Corridor Development Project in the national capital recently.

The upcoming IECC at Pragati Maidan is to be a state-of-the-art world class complex, Naidu said at the ceremony.

He further said that the project once complete, will add to the country’s trade with the rest of the world.

Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu who was also present at the event said that the centre is likely to help realise India quest for a new trajectory of growth and development.

Also Union Minister Hardeep Singh during the inaugural event said that the IECC will be an "iconic centre, which will draw visitors for its own beauty and help Delhi assume its rightful role as a Global city, where world leaders and businesses want to stage international events.
