DGFT lays down import policy for second hand goods imported for repair, refurbishing, re-conditioning or re-engineering

New Delhi, Mar 29 (KNN) The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has laid down the import policy for second hand goods imported for the purpose of repair, refurbishing, re-conditioning or re-engineering.

The import policy para has been added in the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20.

It says that the import policy for second hand goods imported for the purpose of repair, refurbishing, re-conditioning or re-engineering is free with certain condition.

Free import subjects to condition that waste generated during the repair, refurbishing of imported items as per domestic laws, rules, orders, regulations, technical specifications, environmental, safety and health norms and the imported item is re-exported back as per the Customs Notification.
