India, Israel Hold Second Round of FTA Talks to Deepen Trade & Economic Cooperation

New Delhi, Jul 24 (KNN) India and Israel concluded the second round of negotiations for the proposed India–Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA), held from July 20 to 23, 2026, in New Delhi.

The four-day talks covered trade in goods and services, rules of origin, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical barriers to trade, intellectual property rights, customs procedures, trade facilitation and economic cooperation.

The negotiations were held under the Terms of Reference signed in November 2025, which provide the framework for discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Merchandise trade between India and Israel stood at USD 3.93 billion in FY 2025–26. Both sides discussed opportunities to further expand trade, investment and economic integration.

The two countries reaffirmed their commitment to work towards the early conclusion of a balanced, comprehensive and mutually beneficial FTA.
