India-Russia deepen trade ties across ICT, Pharma & construction sectors

New Delhi, Dec 19 (KNN) Sanction-hit Russia is making major efforts to boost its business relationship with India in various sectors such as ICT, pharmacy, construction and logistics.

Last week, a delegation visited India for this purpose headed by Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations, Chairman of the Board of the Business Council for Cooperation with India, reported ET.

Russian-Indian Business Forum was held during the visit and an agreement was signed with the ICIB and MSME Indian chambers for international business.

The document is aimed at developing bilateral trade between India and Russia, as well as assisting local entrepreneurs and enterprises in finding and promoting investment projects in the two countries, reported ET.

Reflecting the need of the hour, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said that Moscow takes the lead in moving the bilateral dialogue further to deepen interaction in digitalization, ICT, engineering, pharmaceutics, construction, logistics and other areas with the focus on high technology and groundbreaking solutions.

“In line with the current agenda Moscow is taking the initiative to further develop bilateral dialogue to deepen cooperation in digitalization, ICT, engineering, the pharmaceutical industry, construction, logistics and other areas, with a special focus on high technology and innovative solutions,” Alipov said.

The Russian ambassador stressed that this partnership will not confine to New Delhi but also explore megapolis of Mumbai, the state of Kerala and other partners are also within the range of attention.  (KNN Bureau)
