India to set up Curriculum R&D Centre in Mauritius
Pune, June 22 (KNN) Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education and Skill Development Minister on Wednesday assured his Mauritius counterpart that India will set up an institution for curriculum research and development in Mauritius.
He met the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Tertiary Education, Science & Technology of Mauritius Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun in Pune on the sidelines of the fourth EdWG meeting.
The Union Minister also spoke to Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, the minister of education, UAE.
He talked about the concerns regarding degree equivalency and the alignment of skills frameworks between India and the UAE to facilitate seamless movement of students and workers.
With regards to Oman, he told Rahma Ibrahim Al-Mahrooqi, Oman's minister of higher education, research, and innovation that they must collaborate through knowledge partnerships in energy, food security, safety, biotech, and sustainability..
In his meeting with Robert Jenkins, global director of education & adolescent development, UNICEF, both agreed to expand the UNICEF-India partnership. (KNN Bureau)
