Piyush Goyal to Lead Indian Business Delegation to Singapore from August 19-21

New Delhi, Aug 19 (KNN) Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will visit Singapore from August 19-21, 2026, for the 4th India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) and the 4th India-Singapore Business Roundtable (ISBR).

Around 70 Indian business leaders from sectors including technology, AI, manufacturing, infrastructure, financial services, healthcare, agriculture, logistics and professional services will accompany the Minister for B2B, G2B and institutional engagements.

Goyal will participate in the ISMR on August 20 alongside Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Ashwini Vaishnaw. The meetings will focus on strengthening the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The Minister is also scheduled to meet Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and hold Government-to-Business engagements with representatives of major Singaporean institutions and companies.

Goyal will jointly visit an APEDA-FairPrice initiative at City Square Mall with Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade & Industry  Gan Siow Huang to promote Indian agri-food products in Singapore's retail market.

He will also participate in the India-Singapore Business Forum organised by FICCI and deliver a keynote address at the ICAI ASEAN Conference 2026.

Singapore was India's largest source of FDI in FY 2025-26, with inflows of USD 19.8 billion. Cumulative FDI from Singapore reached USD 194.68 billion between April 2000 and March 2026, accounting for 24.72 Percent of India's total FDI inflows.

Bilateral trade between India and Singapore increased from USD 6.7 billion in FY 2004-05 to USD 36.1 billion in FY 2025-26.
