71% MSMEs hold positive outlook for second half of 2022: Report

Bengaluru, July 12 (KNN) About 71 per cent MSMEs are optimistic about growth in the next six month of 2022 and only 5 per cent expect a dip in this time frame, said a report.

According to the 2022 mid-year MSME business sentiment survey by Khatabook the business growth optimism sentiment has been steadily improving over one year.

This improved business growth optimism score is witnessed across MSMEs - retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers.

Witnessing positive growth in MSME ecosystems across all the states, the first six months of 2022 have been growth positive for MSMEs across all categories as well.

Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Gujarat have topped the list of growth positive states, said the report.

Commenting on the findings, Ravish Naresh, CEO and co-founder, Khatabook, said, "The survey showcases the resilience and positive outlook of the MSME community towards business growth and willingness to adopt new methods that will help with growth momentum while handling the transitions."

"For the next two quarters in 2022, 71 per cent is a high business performance optimism score by the MSME community. I hope the actual business performance feedback in the next survey aligns with this optimism score," Naresh added.

The survey revealed that about 66 per cent of businesses mentioned they had no significant business-related issues.

In contrast, others said weak demand, credit availability and liquidity and payment collection were some of the major concerns.  (KNN Bureau)
