Awards for responsible Indian BMOs to promote 'zero defect zero effect'

New Delhi, Jan 22 (KNN) Promoting 'Zero Defect, Zero Effect' productions amongst MSMEs, Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) is hosting an award function today to recognize the responsible Indian business membership organisations (BMOs) for their contribution towards the initiative.

The objective of the programme is to encourage BMOs to promote responsible business practices among MSMEs; to encourage the MSMEs support institution to support BMOs to promote such activities; to inspire MSMEs to adopt National Voluntary Guidelines (NVGs) and to disseminate nationally and internationally the best practices done by BMOs towards promoting ‘responsible practices among MSMEs”.

The awards will be categorised in three units namely cluster/SPV, district and state/country.

BMOs registered as society, trust, co-operative society, producer companies and other unregistered BMOs will be contingent for the awards.

The programme will provide benefits such as sharing lessons learnt while promoting responsible business among MSMEs; encouraging its members to move towards responsible business; interaction and network with other responsible BMOs and BDS providers and avail of their services and branding of BMOs by widely circulating their names and nature of services among MSME-Dis, DICs, banks and financial institutions.

Anup K Pujari, Secretary, Ministry of MSME will be inaugurating the event.

A case study compendium on "Responsible Business by BMOs- Issue II" will also be launched during the Awards. (KNN Bureau)
