Awareness programme on Delayed Payment Act for the dues recovery of SSI

Mysore, Sept 7 (KNN) An awareness programme on Delayed Payment Act for the dues recovery of small scale industries from their buyers is being organized on September 9 at Mysore Industries Association Hall. MSME-DI, Bangalore, Department of Industries and Commerce, District Industries Centre Mysore, Mysore Industries Association and MDMSMEA are jointly organising the programme.

The programme will be inaugurated by Revenue Minister and Mysore District In charge Minister V Srinivas Prasad and Presided by MLA Vasu.

Member of Parliament, Prathap Simha; Regional Commissioner and Chairman RMSEFC, Mysuru, A M Kunjappa; Director MSME-DI Bangalore, S N Ranga Prasad; Managing Director KUM & Addl-Dir-MSME, Bangaluru, M Prabhu; Joint Director DIC, Mysuru, M Shivashankar; Ex -Mayor President, Mysore Industries Association, P Vishwanath; and President MDMSME Association, TD Jayachandra Urs,  will be the Chief Guests.

Mysore, Mandya, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Hasan, Chikkamangaluru, Chamarajanagara Districts District Industries Centre Joint Directors, Industry Association office Bearers will be participating in the programme.

The Facilitation Council will assist MSEs in the recovery of their dues from medium and large industries, PSUs, state and central government departments towards the supplies made to them which is affecting the working capital requirement and eventually resulting in sickness and closure of these small scale industries.

According to the MSE Facilitation Council, all medium and large industries, PSUs, state and central government departments shall pay the outstanding amount pertaining to the purchases from micro and small scale industries within 45 days. In case there is delay in making payment within 45 days then they have to pay their dues along with interest at three times the PLR rate of interest on outstanding amount; the purchaser shall also mention in their Annual Balance Sheet the amount of dues and interest payable to SSIs; and the deprived SSIs can file complaint to MSE Facilitation Council for the recovery of their dues.
