BIMTECH Management institute bags gold at Management Conclave

Greater Noida, Aug 8 (KNN) Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), has received a gold award for presentation of its programme on sustainable development practices at the fourth Indian Management Conclave (IMC) held in New Delhi on August 2-3.
 
The theme of the two day Management Conclave organized by MBA Universe was "Effective Engagement between Industry and Institute.”
 
The award was presented by Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor and was received by Chairperson of PGDM N N Sharma on behalf of the institute (Sustainable Development Practices).
 
Presenting the IMC Awards 2013, Tharoor said, “B-schools should learn from each other and adopt the best practices to enhance the value of MBA education in the country.”
 
“This program is an epitome of seamless engagement between institute and industry. This spirit pervades the entire circle of the programme, from design to delivery to development and thus leading to purposeful deployment,” Sharma said while delivering his presentation.
 
“The efforts result in every participant learning through spending more than 20 per cent of program time of 24 months with the industry. This is achieved through a series of emersion programs and internship. A unique characteristic of the initiative is an in-build continuous system of industry feedback,” Sharma further added.
 
Indian Management Conclave 2013 was organized for the fourth time by MBA Universe to identify best practices, ideas and initiatives that make positive impact in different B-Schools for enhancing value of MBA Education.
 
The award ceremony was attended by over 250 MBA educators including Directors from B-schools across India, China, USA, Singapore and Canada.
 
The awards organized by MBAUniverse.com had received more than 50 nominations from institutes such as IIM-Kashipur, T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal, Goa Institute of Management, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, ITM-Navi Mumbai.
 
Birla Institute of Management Technology was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, and supported by Birla group of companies. BIMTECH offers different management courses in subjects like general management, international business, insurance business, retail management and sustainable development practices. (KNN/SD)
