New Delhi, Oct 15 (KNN) A 10 episode programme titled ‘Hunnarbaaz’ on Apprenticeship Training Scheme will be telecast on Door Darshan National to make aware the Public at large about the Apprenticeship Training Scheme and its utilities in building skill in the country especially for the youth.

Hunnarbaaz is a pioneering TV show that spotlights skills and innovations. The show helps millions of young Indians become aware of the various ways in which they can upgrade their skills, become employable and commercially utilise their inventive genius to provide for themselves.

The 1st episode of ‘Hunnarbaaz’ will be telecasted on 18th October, 2015 at 11:30 AM on DD National Channel. Thereafter remaining 9 episodes will be telecasted on every Sunday on the same channel at the same time.

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has amended the apprentices Act, 1961 to make it more responsive to industry as well as youth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech to the Nation has stated that “Millions and Millions of Indian youth should go for acquisition of skills and there should be a network across the country for this and not the archaic systems. They should acquire the skills which could contribute towards making India a modern country. Whenever they go to any country in the world, their skills must be appreciated.

I also want to create a pool of young people who are able to create jobs and the ones who are not capable of creating jobs and do not have the opportunities, they must be in a position to face their counterparts in any corner of the world while keeping their heads high by virtue of their hard work and their dexterity of hands and win the hearts of people around the world through their skills. We want to go for the capacity building of such young people,” he added.

My brothers and sisters, having taken a resolve to enhance the skill development at a highly rapid pace, I want to accomplish this," he said.

Amended Apprentices Act is aimed to facilitate this process. (KNN Bureau)
