Department of Handloom and Textiles extends diploma course application till July 11

Bengaluru, June 29 (KNN) The application deadline for admission to the Diploma Course in Handloom and Textiles under the Department of Handloom and Textiles has been extended till July 11.
The course is open for male and female candidates and a total 44 seats are available at different institutes across South Indian states.
At Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute, Gadag-Betageri 22 seats are available, 17 at Indian Handloom Technology Institute, Salem, Tamil Nadu, three at SPKM Indian Handloom Technology Institute, Venkatagiri, Andhra Pradesh and two at Indian Handloom Technology Institute, Kannur, Kerala.
To apply for the course the candidates who have cleared SSLC exam along with English subject are eligible.
Selected candidates will receive Rs. 2,500 as monthly scholarship. Male candidates can avail hostel facilities.
The age limit for general category candidates is 15 to 23 years while for SC and ST community candidates, it is 15 to 25 years. Candidates will be selected based on the entrance examination marks. (KNN Bureau)
