Disclose details of COVID positive patients: AITF to PM

New Delhi, Apr 29 (KNN) As the number of COVID patients are violating quarantine rules and stepping outside infecting others, All Industries and Trade Frum (AITF) has suggested the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to disclose the names of COVID positive patients name in public domain so that the same can be stopped.

In a letter to Prime Minister, AITF, National President, Badish Jindal said, ''The number of COVID patients are sharply increasing in India, one of the reasons for increase in number is violation of quarantine by the patient. In most of the cases as soon as the symptoms goes away the patients rush for their jobs or businesses.''

''They even hide the status report of their test from society and their non-symptomatic family members keep spreading the disease around their areas,'' he added.

He further said that earlier there was a protocol of pasting the notice of COVID positive outside the houses of such patients which was helping the nearby residents to stay away from that house for specific days.

''This was helping a lot in curtailing the spread,'' he avowed.

Now, the test reports are kept secretive and only the patient knows about his/her status report. In many cases they intentionally spread this disease for their vested interests. These patients are not following the protocol of quarantine which is a major threat for speedy spread of this disease, he said.

''It is requested that the government must publish the names of patients as per their localities/cities/states so that the nearby residents can remain alert from such positive patients.

The nearby people may also complain to the authorities in case of any violation by such positive patients, he added.
