DST doing research on science of body & brain

New Delhi, Aug 22 (KNN) The Ministry of Science and Technology has announced a major research initiative in the area of cognitive science which involves the study of mind and brain.

The interesting initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) focuses on how the mind represents knowledge and how mental representation and processes are realised in brain.

The research project for which the DST has announced post-doctoral fellowship deals with the cognitive research which includes language, memory, visual perception, artificial intelligence, psychology, neuroscience and anthropology.  

The field is highly interdisciplinary, combining ideas and methods from computer science, linguistics, philosophy etc. (KNN/GUNJ)
