In the webinar, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Ashish Verma will discuss some of the findings from an international project – the 'Global Mobility Monitor Network (GMMN), taking into account the enormous developments in the transportation infrastructure in India during the past decade.

It will also focus on the Indian results of the project and will provide a comparative analysis between five representative sample Indian cities; Delhi, Bangalore, Lucknow, Indore and Guwahati.

Participants will learn about the underlying factors responsible for the observed trends including: the current state of mobility in Indian cities based on the aspects of demography and economy; transport demand and supply; transportation policy and transport costs.
