EPCH to host three-day India GI Fair in Noida from Aug 26

New Delhi, Aug 24 (KNN) The Export Promotion Council for Handicraft (EPCH) is organising the India Geographical Indication (GI) Products Fair from August 26 to 28, 2022 at India Expo Centre in Greater Noida.

GI tag is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin.

Some of the examples of registered Indian GIs are Kolhapuri Chappal, Kashmir Pashmina, Darjeeling Tea, Tirupathi Laddu, Kangra Paintings, Nagpur Orange, etc.

India GI Fair aims to connect these invaluable native products, to connoisseurs and clientele of the global market.

The collective intellectual heritage and ethos of GI tagged products of India is constituted in this show.

It gives an opportunity to source GI products directly from registered producers under one roof.

GI Tag indicates that the item is uniquely from its particular place of origin 390+ famed Indian products have been recognised so and are tagged with the global geographical indication.
