Flipkart to now provide metaverse shopping experience through Flipverse

New Delhi, Oct 17 (KNN) Flipkart in partnership with eDAO, a Polygon-incubated firm launched an interactive Metaverse-themed virtual shopping platform ‘Flipverse’ on October 17, 2022.

The E-commerce giant’s metaverse project is in the nascent stage and is touted to garner interest during the current festive mood within the country. It will allow enabling users to walk around the store and enjoy the 3-D rendered store displays.

“Flipverse is fundamentally unique, offering innovative features like super high fidelity, Metaverse-ready avatars, claimable offers, etc. among others. It possesses a variety of Web3.0 technologies, thus enhancing the current user experience with virtual reality,” a company official said at the launch.

As per reports, some of the brands that are partnering with the e-commerce giant for the project include Puma, Lavie, Campus, Tokyo Talkies, and many more. The new feature will also allow customers to collect supercoins and digital collectibles.

Flipkart’s Flipverse will offer games, NFTS, contests, drops, brand activations, mystery boxes, and heaps more. The said project will have pan India accessibility and Flipverse can be assessed by anybody having a mobile device and a browser.

Flipkart has now joined the bandwagon of a growing list of Indian companies which have deployed Metaverse to run their businesses and woo users.

It must be noted that in April, Flipkart initiated Flipkart Labs, to mark its foray into the space of Web3.0 technologies.  (KNN Bureau)
