IBBI hosts Conference on Entrepreneurship Liberty

New Delhi, June 11 (KNN) The Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) organized a one-day conference on “Entrepreneurship Liberty: Freedom of Entry, Competition and Exit” on Friday. A half-day Insolvency Professionals Conclave followed the Conference.

The event was organised at the Habitat Centre to mark the celebrations under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Hon’ble Justice Ashok Bhushan, Chairperson, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal was the Chief Guest for the event.

While addressing the conference, Bhushan talked about the journey of economic reforms by noting the evolution from the risk-averse nature of society to reduced stigma for failure.

“Earlier the individuals looked primarily for employment stability, but the outlook towards entrepreneurship has improved significantly with reforms”, he added.

Dharmender Singh, Hon’ble Member (Judicial), NCLT and Avinash K. Srivastava Hon’ble Member (Technical), NCLT addressed the participants on the theme “Insolvency professional from the perspectives of Adjudicating Authority”, in the IP Conclave.

Some of the key speakers at the event were Anant Barua, Whole Time Member, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Amit Pradhan, ED, IBBI, Amarjit Singh Chandhiok Senior Advocate, President, INSOL India amongst others.

A large number of stakeholders of the IBC ecosystem, from across the country, including insolvency professionals, economists, financial creditors, service providers, researchers, students, academia and government officers joined the Conference both in offline and online mode.  (KNN Bureau)
