IICA ties up with top institutions like ISB, Yes Bank

New Delhi, Oct 25 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has forged relationship with top five other institutions including Hyderabad - based Indian School of Business to leverage from their respective strengths for producing quality scholars who can sub-serve the changing requirements of corporate India.

The  memoranda of understanding with country’s leading research, academic and business institutions including  Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE); Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS); The Energy and Research Institute (TERI) and YES Bank Limited were signed yesterday in the presence of Minister of Corporate Affairs, Sachin Pilot.

IICA provides opportunities for research, education, and advocacy and also serves as a knowledge-centre for policy makers, regulators and other stakeholders related to the domain of corporate affairs.

The institute supports the growth of the corporate sector in India through an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach.  IICA is also an academy for the Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) officers.  Interacting with the probationers of the ICLS, discussing their training needs and how IICA’s course modules could be enhanced to cater to everyday practical requirements, Pilot emphasized the importance of gauging and assessing the specific needs of industry and business.

Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General & CEO of IICA, stressed upon the need for institutional partnerships saying that it holds the potential to bring together diverse stakeholders for the common goal of advancing knowledge and promoting able corporate governance.  (KNN/PC)
