Lucknow, Aug 19 (KNN)  The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) here has plans to conduct a management development programme for excellence in manufacturing and skill development in October this year.

The institute wants to develop awareness on various factors leading to manufacturing competitiveness through excellence in manufacturing programme.

The programme will enable managers to understand the underlying managerial concepts and principles for developing appropriate strategies at the firm and recognize their implications for manufacturing strategy.

Further, the programme will develop an appreciation for the role of manufacturing and operations in competitive business environment and help implement best practices for achieving excellence in manufacturing.

The Negotiation Skills Development programme will focus on negotiating ability in participants and sensitizing them to the relevant tools and techniques for conduct of negotiations in various scenarios. (KNN/SD)
