India Water Week-2013 focuses on water management techniques

“The exhibition conducted simultaneously with the International Conference on the same subject will provide the Small and Medium Enterprises an international platform and a world class exposure, to develop their skills and providing them the accurate knowledge to increase their profits and by teaching them the corrective measures to grow and adopting the new and advanced technology. Besides, identifying, encouraging the progress in the Water Industry and the allied ministries,” said an official statement.
Inaugurating the five day event that is being held from April 8-12 in New Delhi yesterday, President Pranab Mukherjee expressed the hope that it would be able to provide meaningful solutions and guide approach to water management. He hoped the Water Expo 2013 would showcase exciting technological possibilities for sustaining the vital natural resource.
The event has drawn international and national participants comprising of policy planners and technologists involved with water resources management in all key sectors of economy like agriculture and irrigation as well as energy and industry.
Water Expo-2013 has been showcasing technology, latest developments and solutions in improving efficiencies in the sectors of agriculture and irrigation, water supply and energy generation for benefiting various stakeholders and the general public. (KNN)
