IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw hints launch of India’s own AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT

New Delhi, Mar 31 (KNN) Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw said that India will soon announce a new AI chatbot which will be parallel to ChatGPT.
Addressing the India Global Forum Annual Summit recently, he said “wait for a few weeks, there will be a big announcement.”
In October 2022, Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence (AI) research startup OpenAI launched its AI-based chatbot, ChatGPT.
It has already amassed more than 100 million users and OpenAI claims that the ChatGPT website receives more than 13 million daily visitors.
ChatGPT has surpassed TikTok to become the consumer app to see the quickest rate of growth as reached 100 million users in 2023.
Tech giants like Google and others have also launched their chatbots in some markets, while other companies are also preparing for the same.
By 2030, the chatbot market is expected to reach USD 3.99 billion in value. (KNN Bureau)
