Jammu based start-up launches mobile app 'Deals Now'

Jammu, Feb 10 (KNN) Jammu based young entrepreneurs -  Akhil Suri and Bhaskar Suri - developed a mobile app called 'Deals Now' which was launched by J&K Governor N N Vohra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 16, 2016 unveiled the Start-up Policy under which lots of incentives and sops were announced for the start-ups.

While launching the app, Vohra hailed the project undertaken by the young entrepreneurs.

Mobile App – Deals Now offers latest business deals and offers for people of Jammu. The app has been developed both for Android as well as IOS users. It will also be available on Play Store and App Store shortly.

The project was started under their DIC registered Service Industry - Eye Events, and is first of its kind in J&K.

“The concept behind starting Deals Now was to convert Yellow Pages into a digital form to make the people to Jammu aware about the ongoing and upcoming deals and discounts offered by different business houses,” the start-up said in a statement.

The unique features of the app are that once downloaded it can be browsed offline and it opens in maximum 5 seconds irrespective of the speed of the internet.

Also present during the launch was Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. (KNN Bureau)
