New Delhi, July 20 (KNN) The monsoon session of Parliament began on Thursday and the session will continue until August 11, with 17 sittings.

Rajya Sabha will be a major test for the Delhi ordinance Bill where the Centre will need support of non-NDA parties to pass it.

Ahead of the session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media and said that the Manipur incident of women being paraded naked is “shameful for any civilised society.”

“I assure the nation that no guilty person will be spared. Law will take its course with all its might. What happened with the daughters of Manipur can never be forgiven,” PM Modi said.

The opposition will raise issues like floods in North India, rail safety following the Odisha triple train collision, price rise, and unemployment in the ongoing session.  (KNN Bureau)
