More than 300 delegates to participate in national workshop on best practices in citizen centric governance

New Delhi, Sept 9 (KNN) More than 300 delegates including senior officials of the central and state governments and representatives from various institutions are participating in national workshop on best practices in citizen centric governance being organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances on September 10.

The two-day workshop with the objective of realising the vision of the Prime Minister of good governance through ‘Minimum Government – Maximum Governance’ will be inaugurated by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Northeast and MoS PMO, DoPT, Jitendra Singh.

It will showcase the individual, team and organisational efforts of the ‘Team India’ through presentations from different states of the country on ‘Innovative Good Governance Initiatives’ that have been conferred the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration and National Awards on e-Governance.

These include initiatives in citizen centric administration; women empowerment; efficient resource utilization; capacity building and use of e-Governance tools in citizen centric service delivery.

A theme-based discussion will be held to cover a wide range of public service delivery systems in the goal to empower the last mile and the common man. There will also be panel discussions on the presentation. (KNN Bureau)
