MoS Ashwini Kumar Choubey launches National Consumer Helpline linked with WhatsApp

New Delhi, Mar 15 (KNN) Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State of Consumer Affairs on Wednesday launched the integration of National Consumer Helpline (NCH) with WhatsApp (1951) on the occasion for solidarity international consumer movement.
He also virtually inaugurated e-Daakhil portal for redressal, Microbiological lab at National Test House, Guwahati, Domestic Appliances Laboratory at Chennai.
MoS further launched the revamped portal for Management Systems and Training, awarding of All India First Licenses to innovative initiatives – Mittiool clay products.
In his inaugural address at the beginning of the event, Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs said India views its consumer as the backbone of any economy and that the government is committed to ensuring that the consumer receives highest quality of goods.
He talked about the importance of customer service, consumer awareness and grievance redressal in the present times.
The Minister mentioned that the entire World today is looking at India and how it is integrating the principles of Economic Development and Environmental protection.
The event was organised by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.
The theme of the event was ‘Empowering Consumers through Clean Energy Transitions’.
All India First Licenses were awarded by MoS Ashwini Kumar Choubey. Among the recipients of the First Licenses were- Mittiool clay products (for non-electric Cooling), Shakti Hormann Pvt. Ltd. (Fire door and Door sets), Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (for Fire resistant steel) and Karnataka Co-operative Milk Federation for Milk and Milk products. (KNN Bureau)
