NID to hold 34th Convocation

Ahmedabad, Dec 14 (KNN)  The National Institute of Design will hold its 34th Convocation at its premises here on December-17.

The Chief Guest at the event is eminent philanthropist and cardiac surgeon, Devi Shetty who will deliver the convocation address.

Chairman of the NID Governing Council, Anand Mahindra will give the Presidential Address.

Students graduating from the four-year Graduate Diploma Programme in Design, the two and half-year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Design; and the two year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Design will be awarded diplomas. 

Like every year, an exhibition of the works of the graduating students has been organised and this will remain open for public viewing from December 18 to 22.
 
The National Institute of Design (NID) is one of the foremost multi-disciplinary institutions in the field of design education, applied research, training, design consultancy services and outreach programmes.

Internationally, it is acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design.
 
It is an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and is recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.
