NIT-Tiruchi conducts internship program for polytechnic students on robotics & automation

Tiruchi, July 8 (KNN) The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi has commenced a 26-day skill development internship program for students of Government Polytechnic College at Papanasam in Thanjavur.

Through this program, NIT aims at impart training to 30 students on the basics of electrical machines, electronics, robotics and automation.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, G. Aghila, Director, NIT-T said, “the internship will play an important role in churning out industry-ready and employable youth for the country's progress.”

“It has been envisaged to provide skill excellence for students, practising professionals and industries around its vicinity”, she added.

M. Duraiselvam, Dean (Planning and Development) said that the diverse skill development courses were being offered through various laboratories in the institution on Design and Validation, Advanced Manufacturing, Test and Optimization, Automation, Electrical and Energy savings, Process Instrumentation, Mechatronics, CNC Machines, CNC Controller, Robotics, Rapid Prototyping and Internet of Things (IoT).

The primary focus of the Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing is to create a robust technical education eco-system through its experience in industrial products and services. It helps technical institutes to meet industry needs, making engineering graduates industry-ready.  (KNN Bureau)
