New Delhi, Dec 28 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) has invited nominations for the National MSME Awards under various categories.

MoMSME is implementing a scheme to recognize outstanding MSMEs through National Awards-2015, the objective of which is to promote the spirit of innovative vision and ambition for producing new products.

The Ministry has come up with an online portal (www.msmedi.dcmsme.gov.in/award.aspx) through which the nominations can be filed.

In a communication to the industry bodies, MoMSME said, “The Indian entrepreneurs are very creative and innovate new products and process as well as provide innovate services to remain competitive in domestic and global market.”

“This has become possible to encourage such innovative efforts and promote this spirit in larger interest of qualitative development of MSME. The Ministry of MSME recognize these entrepreneurs for their outstanding performance and by conferring awards motivate and encourage them,” the Ministry added.

The various categories under which the awards would be conferred include - Product/ Process Innovation; Outstanding Entrepreneurship (Manufacturing); Outstanding Entrepreneurship (Service); Lean Manufacturing Techniques; Quality Products; Export Awards etc.

MSME-DI of respective state will further send applications recommended by State Level Selection Committee along with evaluation report to National Level Committee.

An enterprise can apply for more than one category of award. The last date for submission of application is January 16, 2017. (KNN Bureau)
