Productivity Summit for metal working industry

Pune, Nov 13 (KNN)  To enhance productivity in the metal working industry, the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) has organised a two day summit starting here on November-15.
 
The Productivity Summit is designed to highlight best productivity projects in metalworking industries through live case study presentations, keynote sessions and plant visits, according to an IMTMA press release.

Seventh in the series, the two day event will provide a platform to share, network and learn from productivity gurus, practitioners, solution providers and solution seekers.
 
Over 1000 delegates across the country, including CEOs, senior executives, practicing engineers, R&D specialists, consultants, industry experts, technologists from varied segments of the metal working industry will participate in the mega event.
 
Plant visits have been organised to BAJAJ AUTO, CUMMINS INDIA, SANDVIK COROMANT, SPICER INDIA during the summit to provide an opportunity for delegates to witness productivity improvements on the shop floor.
 
Presentations will be made by industry experts who will address issues of productivity and suggest ways and means to resolve them.  Among them are Director Tata Sons – R Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director, Lucas TVS – N Ravichandran, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Shekar Viswanathan, Chairman TQM International – Janak Mehta, Head Hi-Tech Gears Ltd – R K Saxena, and Head Production Control and BD Hi-Tech Gears Ltd – Akhilesh A.
 
A highlight of the event will be the IMTMA-Siemens Productivity Championship Awards 2013 that will recognise and reward outstanding productivity efforts. (KNN/ES)
