Professional certification program on GST launched by PWC

New Delhi, Nov 7 (KNN) The PwC India’s Tax Academy on Monday announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind professional certification program on GST on online learning platform Coursera.

“Designed and developed by PwC India, the program will help learners acquire basic GST skills and knowledge, such as GST applicability and compliance on transactions and how to file,” the company said in a statement.

The program will focus on providing practical knowledge of GST and its application through various scenarios and case studies. The candidates who will complete the course will be equipped with job-ready skills for entry-level GST jobs in India.

It will take candidates approximately 24 weeks to complete the program while simultaneously pursuing other education or work opportunities. Upon completion, learners will earn a vocational certificate from PwC India, the statement said.

“Bridging the skills gap is a complex problem that requires all stakeholders to work together to make the world a more resilient, efficient and inclusive place. Solving is at the core of our strategy and organizational objective, it added.

Every year millions of students graduate in finance, business and law. With its Tax Academy, PwC aims to holistically address their skill requirements by introducing certifications in Accounting, Direct Taxes, Transfer Pricing, Customs and Dispute Resolution.

Tax Academy will also focus on enabling working professionals to gain advanced knowledge through curated upskilling, re-skilling and stackable programs needed to progress and succeed in their careers.
